Create Sections Collection Guide

Create Section Collection

  1. Navigate to admin view and click on the plus symbol to create a collection
  2. Naming Convention - {Page Name} Sections 
  3. Type - Generic Items
  4. Load Sections v2 (Bulma) default
  5. Set Active field as Hero
  6. Set Content Collection as Preview
  7. Unhide the following fields
    1. Title
    2. Subtitle
    3. Body
    4. Button
    5. Image
  8. Click Create

Connect page with sections collection

  1. Navigate in the flux to the corresponding page in the Pages collection
  2. Set the Type field to "section"
  3. Set the Content Collection field to the sections collection you created
  4. You may want to use the Hide Banner field to hide the banner
  5. Click Save

Publish Changes

  1. Add some sections
  2. Publish Changes

Note: Before the site is live you only have to publish changes after creating a new collection. Once the site is live you must publish changes after making any updates.

Note: You can clear the cache/publish changes on a specific section page by prepending the page URL with /r.

Create Child Section Collection Guide

Create Child Collection

  1. Navigate to admin view and click on the plus symbol to create a collection
  2. Give the collection a semantic name
  3. Load default - Most often you will use the Default Collection default
  4. Add/Remove fields based on what is needed
  5. Set Active field as Hero
  6. Choose a preview field
  7. Unhide fields you want Basic users to be able to access
  8. Click Create

Nest collection underneath sections collection

  1. Navigate to the Edit Admin View
  2. Nest child collection underneath sections collection
  3. Click Save

Connect section to the child collection

  1. Navigate to the corresponding sections collection
  2. Click on the section you want to connect the child collection to
  3. Set the type: either keep it as default or select the appropriate section type
  4. Set the Content Collection field to the child collection you created
  5. Click Save

Publish Changes

  1. Add content to the child collection
  2. Publish Changes



Note: Before the site is live you only have to publish changes after creating a new collection. Once the site is live you must publish changes after making any updates.
